I’m Alexis, founder of Centered Life Therapy and Wellness. My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t linear, it was a calling that slowly unfolded through seasons of caregiving, growth, and deep reflection.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as a nurse, walking with people through some of life’s most vulnerable moments. That experience taught me the power of presence, listening, and honoring each person’s story. As a mother to two teenagers, I also understand the daily pressures, emotional ups and downs, and the need to find balance when life feels overwhelming. These personal and professional experiences eventually led me to the world of therapy, where my passion for emotional well-being could truly take root.
I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you’re free to explore your challenges, find meaning in your journey, and reconnect with your inner strength. Whether you're facing anxiety, stress, grief, or navigating a major life transition, I’m here to walk alongside you with warmth, respect, and practical support.
I’ve pursued advanced trauma training to better understand the complexities of the nervous system, attachment, and how past experiences live in the body. This ongoing learning allows me to offer informed, holistic care that goes beyond talk therapy. I stay deeply committed to expanding my skills so I can meet each client with the presence, attunement, and tools they deserve.
Outside the therapy room, I can be found outdoors, camping with my family, hiking, or simply soaking in the peace of nature. I believe healing doesn’t just happen in sessions; it happens in the quiet moments too. I often encourage clients to connect with nature, even briefly, as part of their self-care and healing process.
